After Googleing how to become a citizen, it looks like you have to be a resident legally for five years. So if you cross the border illegally you can't become a citizen. The only hope is for your kids that you have biven birth in the USA. One of the articles says it takes about 3 to 6 months, not 4 years. Also the person has to take a test to see if the person understands how our government works and simple english so it isn't just an application that is being looked at. May I give you a suggestion?
