Xbox 360 picks up Final Fantasy XI, will be backwards compatible - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot

This is good news. Although Microsoft said it will be compatible with top selling games, it could mean that Microsoft will be selecting which Xbox games will be compatible or they just don’t want to come right out and say it is compatible.

Final Fantasy is an awesome game and it will be awesome to see it on the Xbox 360.

IMO the thing with the backwards compatibility of the Xbox360 somehow stinks :S “Best selling games”…. so probably only games like Halo1/2 will be available, or what? :-?

    Btw.: Have fun ;-)

If MS decides to onlu have certain xbox games run on xbox360, I think a lot of people are going to be upset. Sony has already said that PS3 will be compatible all the way back to the original playstation, so that will give people 3 systems worth of games to choose from.

Either way, I think PS3 has a slight edge on the new Xbox. I mean, first of all, it’s stats so far seem far better(except for the amount of ram), it will have backwards compatibility all the way back to a system from the 90’s, and lastly, while it’s nice that xbox will have Final Fantasy XI on their system, I can already get it for PC or my PS2. On the other hand, I believe I read somewhere that ps3 will have Final Fantasy XII. O well, I’ll still try ‘em both(who knows, I may be in for a pleasent suprise with the new xbox)
