Homosexual Video in Current Issues Class

Last week in my current issues class we started a video about Harvey Milk, the first elected official that was openly gay. Today my teacher was telling us that after class lat time, a student had called home and said they were going to vomit because the video we were watching had homosexual sex in it. This was a lie. The video had gay couples kissing and that is it. Nothing worse than that.
Because of that, the video was confiscated and the district has to review it before the teacher can have it back. He says that he probably won’t get it back until sometime in the summer.
Its makes me sad that people can’t realize that gay rights is an issue of today and they may not like it but they’ll have to deal with it some day. The teacher was pretty anger and I’d bet that most of the class was as well. What an immature jerk.

People these days. One guy on a forum I frequent posted that homosexuals love is fruitless and that this is viable proof that homosexuality is derived from trauma or shock as a kid. He added that he had to post this because it was exactly what got him banned at another forum.
I ripped him a new one in front of the whole forum denouncing all his theories and explanations with the simple fact: he had never met a gay person before. He seemed to know all about the inaccuracies and myths of homosexuality, but he had never seen or spoken with a homosexual (Not sure why he’s studying about it, but I guess he’s scared of becoming gay).
He still doesn’t realise that I was never dropped or abused as a child and that somehow I still turned out gay.
Really.
