I should have just left,
I should have ignored you,
I should have been a jerk,
I should have gotten my share and left.

But no,

I had to be nice,
I had to be curious,
I had to want more,
I had to get attached.

So now,

I am lost,
I am caring,
I am scared,
I am nothing without you.

Promise me you won’t. I love you.

I must let go,
I must not get hurt,
I must listen to my head,
I must deny.

But I can’t. My heart is too strong.
