I was one of the Producers of the old Wild About Wheels series on the Discovery Channel in the early 90s.We did a segment on Train Racing that helped get the ball rolling. 
We shot at Saugus Speedway in the LA area, which is maybe twice as big as a library table, barely a quarter mile if you walked the perimeter.
Looks like your track is a bit too nice(!) for the trains! Twenty teams at Saugus last event on a Saturday night, NO ONE LEFT!</description>
