just popped over here from sarahnielson.com. The vacuuming may be for the baby&#039;s sake.  The womb is actually a pretty noisy environment and sometimes loud &quot;whirring&quot; or constant noises like loud &quot;shooshing&quot; can calm them down.  Not that knowing that helps you sleep any better but it might explain the late night noise.</description>
